A Southern California native, I received my Bachelors in Psychology from UC San Diego and went on to complete my Masters in Clinical Psychology at Pepperdine University. Clinically, I have extensive experience in treating disorders of mood, anxiety, and substance use, and also specialize in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills training and reinforcement for groups and individuals. I am devoted to helping individuals and couples process complicated emotions, navigate difficult life changes, and improve their communication skills.
My work is rooted in a passion for supporting my clients on their path to fulfillment by collaborating and using a value based, goal oriented approach to help them adopt positive, effective behaviors. I find a personal sense of purpose in caring for people as they navigate through delicate and difficult adjustments of life. I believe the most important factor in our work together is creating and maintaining a positive therapeutic relationship, founded in authenticity and trust. Connection is paramount in our society that is conditioned for emotional detachment and disconnect, and feeling the freedom to have a space for this in therapy is key to the comfort for change and growth.
